One day after Haiti received two earthquakes, the Caribbean nation has once again been struck by a 4.9 magnitude earthquake.
On Wednesday, Haiti was hit by a 4.9 magnitude earthquake 40 miles west of Port-Au-Prince, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake’s depth was measured 6.2 miles.
Haiti was hit by two simultaneous earthquakes on Tuesday both measuring in the four magnitude range but there were no reports of injuries, deaths or damages.
The USGS has warned that Haiti will experience numerous aftershocks over the next 30 days and an earthquake measuring at 6.0 or more may strike the region again.
Wednesday’s quake occurred on the same day where another 4.6 magnitude earthquake hit Indonesia, which is the fifth in three days.
