Host of MSNBC's "Hardball" Chris Matthews stated, after Republican Scott Brown won the Massachusetts seat, that he analyzes politics from a Marxist perspective.
After Republican Scott Brown won the special election on Tuesday night for the Massachusetts Senate seat, Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” told viewers and his co-host, Rachel Maddow, that he analyzes politics from a Marxist perspective.
“I'm Marxist when it comes to analysis. People judge their current economic circumstances and make political judgments,” said Matthews.
Prior to Brown’s win, according to News Busters, Matthews said on his show that if the state of Massachusetts votes for the Republican than it’s “deliberate, premeditated murder for health care.”
“But this good looking guy here is not running on charm or good looks or what, what do you call, charisma. He's saying, "I'm gonna kill health care! I'm gonna be the 41st Senator to stop it, in its tracks and kill it dead!" This is a clear cut voter choice on health care.”
Matthews added that the people of Massachusetts have been told one simple thing by Brown and that is vote for him and he’ll vote no on President Barack Obama's health care reform, “I kill this thing in its bed.”
