A 42-year-old Taiwanese man has died from over-excitement after watching the blockbuster epic motion picture "Avatar." This is the first death linked to the 3D movie as many audience members have reported symptoms of depression and suicidal thoughts.
Digital Journal reported earlier this month that there have been thousands of audience members who witnessed the James Cameron motion picture “Avatar” and have experienced symptoms of depression, suicidal thoughts, nausea, dizziness, boredom, blurry vision and many other health effects.
Now, for the first time, a man has died after viewing “Avatar,” according to
USA Today. Kuo, a 42-year-old Taiwanese man, watched the epic film in 3D and passed away 11 days later from a brain haemorrhage.
Metro reports that Kuo was a sufferer from hypertension and felt unwell during the screening of “Avatar” earlier this month and was immediately taken to the hospital in Hsinchu. When he arrived at the hospital, he was unconscious and a brain scan showed that his brain was haemorrhaging, which was most likely triggered from over-excitement.
The emergency room doctor said, reports
AFP, “It's likely that the over-excitement from watching the movie triggered his symptoms.”
