Cleveland Cavaliers center Shaquille O'Neal knew he could have reached this milestone a long time ago, but he has finally reached 28,000 points in his career.
The Cleveland Cavaliers' center Shaquille O'Neal has finally reached the 28,000 point mark in his 17-year career. Shaquille has become the fifth player in NBA history to reach this milestone and the Cavaliers made it a memorable night with 108-100 win over the Toronto Raptors.
O'Neal joined Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387), Karl Malone (36,928), Michael Jordan (32,292) and Wilt Chamberlain (31,419) in this exclusive club.
Shaquille O'Neal made history with a lay up in the first minutes of the game. Shaquille was proud of his achievement, but felt it was long overdue. Shaquille said, "I've missed like 5,000 free throws. If I had at least hit half of those, then I would be at 30,000 right now."
