Georgia Tech's stock is on the rise while the Tar Heels seems to be slipping. The Tar Heels are now losers of two straight while Tech seems to find life against North Carolina Teams.
Georgia Tech has had a pretty nice run of things evening their ACC record at 2-2 after knocking off the #13 Tar Heels a week after knocking off Duke, even if they did lose to Virginia in between.
The Tar Heels on the other hand have begun to slide losing the second game in a row and for the first time having a two game slide since the February/March of 2007.
This time, in Chapel Hill, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Tar Heels 73-71, despite a 42-28 halftime lead.
The Yellow Jackets were led by Iman Shumpert how netted a career high 30 points. This was the Yellow Jackets first win at Chapel Hill since February 10, 1996.
Will Graves with the Tar Heels leading scorer with a career high 24 points.
The Tar Heels will attempt to regroup as they get ready to face Wake Forest on Wednesday in the Dean Dome. The Yellow Jackets will get Clemson, who handed the Tar Heels a loss earlier this week, as the two teams will face off in Atlanta.
