Rush Limbaugh told his audience not to give money to Haiti after it was hit by an earthquake. Limbaugh said the country is run by dictatorships and the U.S. has already helped it.
On Wednesday, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh claimed President Obama is rushing to the aid of Haiti because it is a black community.
Among his comments, Limbaugh said Clinton was sending an envoy to the island nation the U.S. has already helped. The shock jock said aid would be used by the people of Haiti to become lazy.
Thaindian News quotes Limbaugh from the Wednesday show:
“Use this to burnish their, shall we say, credibility with the black community, in the… the both light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country. It’s made to order for them.”
Limbaugh also found fault with the White House for having a website that directs people to charitable organizations operating in Haiti.
Talking with a caller, Limbaugh speculated that donating via the site puts your money at risk and will not reach Haitians.
As the Huffington Post reports, Limbaugh said, "We've already donated to Haiti. It's called the U.S. income tax."
