New England Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady has been a record-setting MVP to an injured superstar and now is the Associated Press 2009 NFL Comeback Player of the Year. Tom Brady received 19 votes from a nationwide panel of 50 sports writers and broadcasters who cover the NFL beating out Tampa Bay running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams who received only 14 wins.
Tom Brady is a three-time Super Bowl winner and a finalist for AP Player of the Decade. Tom led the Patriots to 10-6 record and the AFC East title this season throwing 28 touchdowns and passing for 4,398 yards. Brady is the second player from the New England Patriots to receive this award as Tedy Bruschi shared it with Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith in 2005.
