With the new regulations concerning flights to the United States from Canada, there was some confusion over allowing books to be carried aboard flights. The official word is books are safe to come along with you for the ride.
Since the attempted bombing aboard a flight from the Netherlands to Detroit airport security in Canada has been tightened for flights entering the United States. One of the rules seemed to be books were not allowed on board. Transport Canada announced Tuesday that rule was a mistake.
Transport Canada said that it was a misunderstanding concerning books and have let airport security screeners know to allow for books to be taken on board.
