Monday, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit near the Solomon Islands on Tuesday night, according to
CNN. The quake struck the islands of Archipelago and by midnight on Wednesday (local time) there had been five aftershocks.
No tsunamis were expected. The National Disaster Management Office said there have been no reports of deaths or injuries but two patrol boats are expected to arrive to deliver relief supplies for affected areas, reports
