Scottish singer and Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle goes global with her overseas music gala taking place in Japan on New Year's Eve.
The 48-year old singer from Scotland arrived in Japan Tuesday to appear and perform at Japan's best known musical extravaganza, the 'Red and White Song Battle' which has been running since 1951.
Susan Boyle was discovered in a popular reality TV show 'Britain's Got Talent'. a show hosted by British TV host Simon Cowell, the co-host and judge of American Reality TV show 'American Idol'
The Scottish spinster finished second in last year's 'Britain's Got Talent" show but became popular worldwide when footage of her singing performance was uploaded on 'You Tube' and became an overnight hit with over 100 million viewers.
The plain, single, unemployed 48-year-old's soaring voice was discovered in April when she stunned judges on the "Britain's Got Talent" television show with her performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables".
Boyle has already shattered all chart records with her debut album I Dreamed a Dream and she's now being groomed to sing and record the next James Bond theme song.
The LP sold an astonishing 411,000 copies in the UK in one week and more than two million copies worldwide, making it the fastest-selling debut album by a woman ever.
It is still clocking up sales at an incredible rate.
