article imageNew Democrat Joker Posters Going Public

By Johnny Simpson     Dec 22, 2009 in Politics
First it was the shocking Barack Obama Joker poster, which debuted on the streets of L.A. on August 4th. Now, as the Senate prepares to vote on the increasingly unpopular health care bill, new Democrat Joker posters are rearing their ugly heads all over.
As you all know, way back on August 4th an urban art poster depicting President Obama as the Joker from the blockbuster film Dark Knight made quite the cannonball splash in American society. Many liberals in the mainstream media were aghast and spoke of sinister racial overtones, while most conservative pundits couldn't decide whether they were more overjoyed by the stunning Obama makeover or the SOCIALIST brand beneath it. That is all not opinion. That is well-documented fact.
What is also now-documented fact is that new Joker posters of prominent Democrats such as Sens. Ben Nelson and Claire McCaskill are not only appearing across the Internet on such major conservative websites as Gateway Pundit and Michelle Malkin, but publicly and as far afield as the streets of St. Louis and farm country of Nebraska. One McCaskill Joker poster was prominently placed on the window of the St. Louis SEIU office. Democratic Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow have also made recent Jokerized debuts on the Internet, though not yet on the streets of their constituencies.
This phenomenon appears to be spreading. Given the unpopularity of the Senate healthcare bill on both Right and Left now, it may signal a political backlash. To be sure, there are very few prominent politicians from either party who have not been Jokerized since President Obama's August debut, from Al Franken and Nancy Pelosi to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sarah Palin. But this sudden widespread and public proliferation of Jokerized Democrats began within the last 72 hours, and has been reported with increasing frequency on popular blogs and news websites since.
