The infamous Olympic torch ran through Toronto on Thursday passing by thousands of Torontonians celebrating the Canadian Olympic team.
With the 2010 Olympic Games beginning in two months, the infamous Olympic torch ran through the city of Toronto on Thursday starting at Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue running by the North York Civic Center near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue and will continue its run until the evening when it makes its final stop of the day at Nathan Phillips Square City Hall at Queen Street West and Bay Street.
For approximately two hours, thousands of Canadians packed the streets carrying Canadian flags, little students wore snow pants covered in many layers and employees from offices in the area stood in their suits laughing with their colleagues. They shared the same goal of being one of the millions of Canadians who can capture a glimpse of the notorious Olympic flame.
At 2:23 p.m., police, security guards, the joggers and the symbolic Olympic flame passed Digital Journal as dozens of people pushed each other to get a perfect shot of the fire.
