Pitcher John Lackey and Red Sox agree on Deal

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher John Lackey and the rival Boston Red Sox agree to tentative deal worth millions.
The Boston Red Sox and starting right handed pitcher John Lackey have reached a tentative agreement pending physical. John Lackey travelled to Boston, Massachusetts for a physical exam on Monday to see if he is healthy enough to pitch.
Coming into the off season there was speculation that John Lackey would use New York Yankee's starting pitcher A.J.Burnett's big contract as a potential outline for his contract. Starting pitcher A.J. Burnett signed a five year contract worth $ 82.5 million dollars, but industries assure that Lackey's contract would be between $60 and $100 million.
The Boston Red Sox looking to add depth and strength to their starting rotation. The Red Sox want to add Lackey with their two power starters Jon Lester and Josh Beckett. Boston has showed more interest over the past days to sign John Lackey do the uncertainty of re-signing slugger Jason Bay.
John Lackey is 102-71 with 3.81 era over the past eight years he pitched for Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. John was one of the top pitchers for the Angels this year in the playoffs. Against the Boston Red Sox Lackey shut out the Red Sox in game 1 of the ALDS.
