According to USA today, The Minnesota Twins have traded right handed pitcher Boof Bonser to the Boston Red Sox. In return, Boston will provide a player to be named later or money.
Having been injured for the entire 2009 season with a torn rotator cuff and a torn labrum, Bonser was 3-7 with a 5.93 ERA in 2008 for the Twins. A Florida native, his debut with the Twins ball club was in 2006 and is a career 18-25 with an ERA of 5.12 and 317 strikeouts.
Earlier this week, it was announced on that the Twins had assigned the 28 year old Bonser to allow room on the 40-man roster for right handed pitcher Carl Pavano, who had accepted the club's arbitration offer on Monday.
