An unusual light show over Norway last night has left many witnesses wondering what was it they were seeing. Was it a Russian rocket, a shock wave or even a sign from God?
Whatever the strange light was, it was certainly amazing to see and the only explanation that hasn't come forward is that it was a UFO.
The light show began when what appeared to be a blue light flew up from behind a mountain, stopped and began to move around in a circle creating a spiral pattern in the sky.
In a very short time the spiral covered the entire sky and then a greenish blue light shot out from the center of the spiral, glowed for about 10 minutes or more and disappeared.
According to the
Mail Online, the switchboard to The Norwegian Meteorological Institute lit up as calls flooded them to report the phenomenon.
Astronomers have reportedly said the light was not connected to the aurora or northern lights which is a common occurrence in Norway.
Russia has denied conducting missile tests in the area making area residents wonder just what was going on in the sky last night.
One person has uploaded a video to
YouTube, putting the strange light to music and claiming that it is a sign from God.
Fred Hanson, from Bø in Vesterålen told Mail Online it was "like a big fireball that went around, with a great light around it again."
Tromsø Geophysical Observatory researcher Truls Lynne Hansen was reportedly certain that it was a Russian rocket launch that went astray, but according to Russian news agencies it was stressed that Norway should have been informed if any tests were being conducted in that area.
