Steeler's Polamalu Might be Out for Season

By Kristofor Molson     Dec 8, 2009 in Sports
The Pittsburgh Steeler's might be in more trouble as strong safety Troy Polamalu might be out for the season with nagging knee injury.
Pittsburgh Steeler's strong safety Troy Polamalu is doubting his return to the field this season. Troy Polamalu injured his posterior cruciate ligament against the Cleveland Browns. Troy said he wants to return, but there is no definite date for his return.
The Pittsburgh Steeler's are on the verge of missing the playoffs as the season is closing out and Troy's knee still hasn't healed completely. Polamalu hurt his knee before earlier this season in the season opening game against the Tennessee Titans.
The Steeler's defense has struggled this season with Troy on the bench. The Steeler's defense has given up nine passing touchdowns and allowed 1,037 yards passing in the fourth quarter. The Steelers are 6-6 overall, but are 2-6 without their Pro-Bowl safety out of the starting lineup.
