A town in England which is best known for its Honda motors plant, for producing the singer turned actress Billie Piper and for its railway heritage has won a competition to be twinned with Walt Disney World in Florida.
The Wiltshire town of Swindon was videoed by local resident Rebecca Warren who then wrote a heartfelt poem and sent it off to the judges at the Disney company.
The judges were suitably impressed and now Swindon will be officially twinned with Walt Disney World. An exhibition about Swindon will be displayed at Disney's Epcot Theme Park next year but it's not yet clear what will appear in the exhibition.
Rebecca Warren, her five-year-old niece Amy and eleven-year-old nephew Aaron will fly out to Orlando, Florida to unveil a plaque that will say "Walt Disney World twinned with Swindon".
Swindon will have a similar sign displayed near its multiple roundabout.
Ms Warren, who works in a building society said, "I still cannot believe that my entry has been selected - it's fantastic. What a great opportunity for Swindon."
Speaking on behalf of Disney Destinations International, Hugh Wood said, "Britain clearly has a love for Walt Disney World and long-standing affinity with the parks and their magic, which is probably why the number and quality of entries received was so high."
