article imageToronto's Yonge Subway line closed due to personal injury

By Andrew Moran     Dec 4, 2009 in Business
The Toronto Transit Commission's Yonge-University subway line is shutdown between Union and Bloor stations due to a personal injury.
Last month, the Toronto Transit Commission's Yonge-University subway line was shut down from Bloor Street to Eglinton Avenue. But today, just before rush hour, the Yonge-University subway line shutdown between Union and Bloor stations due to a personal injury, according to the TTC website.
Shuttle buses are running between the two areas, prompting Toronto transit riders to be on buses filled to maximum capacity or forced to walk in the cold.
The injury occurred at Dundas Station.
Over the past month, Toronto transit riders have had to deal with a fare hike, the suspension of token sales and two subway shutdowns.
