ESPN posted a report stating that TCU is offering a coaching extension to head football coach Gary Patterson. Press conference set for Wednesday.
With all of the coaching rumors spreading around about who's going to coach Notre Dame next year. A lot of college teams are locking up there big name coaches that have proved to be a valuable asset to there team. Of course some college coaches are backing out of the decision process before it even starts for example Bob Stoops and Urban Meyer, but TCU is taking matters into it's own hands.
Texas Christian University is hoping to solidify themselves as a powerhouse and raise their prestige by keeping coach Gary Patterson in place for the next few years. There is no specifications on details of the contract extension, but it will come to the light during a press conference at 9 a.m. Pacific time on Wednesday.
At that time they will talk about how Coach Patterson turned TCU around as a head coach and has without a doubt put Texas Christian University back on the map. This year they are a perfect 12 and 0 and ranked fourth in the BCS rankings and is expected to play in there first BCS bowl game in school history.
Coach Patterson is a great coach that has a winning record of 85-27 in his nine years of being the head coach of the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. He has showed a tradition of excellence with winning at least ten games or more in six out of those nine seasons. Coach Patterson has lead his team to eight bowl games along with three conference championships.
TCU has made a great decision in allowing Coach Patterson to continue his legacy at that college. He is on the verge of leading his team to a national title or at least a BCS bowl win and also has a chance to become the most winning est coach in TCU history.
