Four Washington police officers Shot, Were Targeted Special

Four police officers in Parkland, Washington were shot this morning while at a coffee shop. Early reports say the officers were targeted.
The four officers were shot at a coffee shop near McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma.
Police are calling the attack an 'ambush.'

The officers that were shot were beginning their shift when a suspect or more than one gunman opened fire reports KINGS-TV.
The four have been confirmed to have been killed at the scene.
Officer Benjamin of the Tacoma Police told Digital Journal that the four officers were gunned down near the air force base.
"A black male entered into the coffee shop and begun firing. It appears to be a random ambush."
Benjamin said at this time the suspect has not been apprehended.
Officer Hunter told Digital Journal that all four of the officers are deceased. They were not on duty at the time of the shooting. The officers did not work for the Pierce County Sheriff's office.
"The officers worked for one of the local city police departments. We are not disclosing the city's name at this time. They were not on duty when the shooting happened. It appears that they were the only targets of the shooter. No one else has been reported to have been shoot other than the officers at this time."
Hunter said that the suspect is an African-American male, 5' 7" to 5'10". He was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. His appearance was scruffy. The suspect fled on foot. At this time it is not clear if he was working alone.
Parkland is outside of Tacoma. In 2,000 the population of Parkland was 24,053.
