The Russian train 'Nevsky Express' was the target of terrorist attack on Nov. 27. A bomb, killing at least 26 people and injured about 100, exploded at 9:30 p.m. local time, while the train was travelling between Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The incident is the worst attack on the Russian heartland in five years.
Among the victims were citizens of Finland, Italy and India, Polish Internet portal
TVN24, reports.
There were 682 passengers and 29 crew members on board while a bomb exploded. 18 people is still missing.
As the TVN24 claims, referring to the Russian Internet portal
Gazeta.ru, a nationalist organization 'Combat 18' is responsible for the attack. Other sources doesn't confirm this information, stating (i.e. the
Times Online) that no one claimed responsibility for the incident.
According to the latest news, a second terrorist bomb went off at 2 pm local time on Nov. 28 at the scene of a train derailment. The second explosion was much less powerful and didn't harm any people.
