The famous Irish rock-band is going to appear at the Glastonbury Festival in 2010. U2 will play on opening night on June 25.
The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, located in South West England, is the world's largest music and performing arts festival.
Beyond music, it features dance, comedy, spoken word, theatre, circus and cabaret.
Next year's opening gig will be the first U2 appearance at Glastonbury ever. The band's members said, "We've been trying for years... And now we've finally made it happen. I'm sure they will pull out all the stops to make next year's Glastonbury the most memorable ever."
As the organizers announced, tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2010 have sold out and cancelled orders will be resold early in 2010.
