The 2009 Miss Earth beauty pageant will be held at the world-famous Boracay Island Resort in southern Philippines with beauties from 80 countries participating. Winners will promote environmental awareness and projects that affects the environment.
The 2009 Miss Earth crowing ceremonies will take place at the world-famous Boracay Island Beach in southern Philippines Sunday, with beauties from 80 countries participating.
Miss Earth is an international beauty pageant that aims to promote environmental awareness. Miss Earth beauty pageant is one of the three major beauty contests that are participated in by almost all countries around the world.
The winning contestants dedicate their reign for the promotion of environmental awareness and to address environmental concerns.
The Pageant is held annually in the Philippines and televised worldwide via STAR TV of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network.
The Miss Earth pageant winner becomes the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme and other environmental organizations.
