On Nov. 21, the Scottish Parliament will be hosting a conference for local community groups. Over a hundred voluntary and charity organisations will attend the event.
The conference, dubbed ‘Understanding & Influencing Your Parliament’ is a part of the 10th anniversary of devolution.
Holyrood welcomes community-based charities, civic groups, voluntary and campaign organisations from across Scotland. As the smaller organisations have a little opportunity to know the Parliament and its activity on a daily basis, the conference will help them better understand its work as well as have their voice heard at Holyrood.
Attending organisations will meet with MSPs, Scottish Government ministers, journalists and successful campaigners and will take a part in question-and-answer sessions with speakers.
Speakers will include present and former MSPs and successful campaigners.
Full programme available at the Scottish Parliament website.
The conference will be broadcast live on Holyrood.tv on Nov. 21 from 10.30 am.
