A Danish online game called Hit the Bitch has players beat a woman with a male hand. The game has become so popular that the creators have had to limit it to those living in Denmark.
Hit the Bitch is part of the NGO for Children exposed to Violence at Home's campaign to break the silence of domestic violence.
The Danish children's group was founded in 2002 to help the children exposed to domestic violence in their home.
There have been two campaigns in the past, one a book and another a film aimed at younger children caught in the web of domestic violence.
The game campaign is aimed at teenagers. The goal is to have teens break up with someone before they are subject to violence.
The game though has a person slap the woman on the screen several times prior to having statistics of domestic violence appear. The player is rated on their slaps with terms such as "pussy" or "gangsta."
However, the use of violence to teach about domestic violence seems to be a true slap in the face to anyone who has dealt with the issues.
