While in China for a brief official state visit, US President Barack Obama met with his half brother Mark who traveled to Beijing from Shenzhen where he is living and doing consultancy work.

Mark traveled to Beijing from Shenzhen to meet with his brother. President Obama is on a brief visit to Beijing on his way to South Korea for his last leg of travel to several Asian countries.
President Obama said he does not know his half brother well saying he met him for the first time a couple of years ago. The two half bothers did not know each other well while they were growing up but have met from time to time as adults after their first meeting.
Mark has been in China for several years now doing business consultancy work. He revealed that he is publishing a book that says about physical abuse he experienced from his late father.
The son of Obama's late father and his third wife Ruth Nidesand, Ndesandjo reportedly runs a business consultancy in China. He said he last met Obama when he visited the United States during the presidential election, according to Inquirer.net
The US president has some other relatives in Indonesia where he spent his childhood and early schooling. It was earlier reported that President Obama is scheduled to visit Indonesia sometime during his incumbency as US President.
