Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have just added jewelery makers to their bios. But like everything else with this duo, there's a twist to the collection.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their six children have decided to take up something besides acting.
Their new jewelry collection is expected to dazzle fans in a different way. They have designed the "Protector" collection, so named because it features snakes and lots of them. According to
Reuters, Jolie admires snakes and sees them as a symbol of protection.
Jolie may have first become enamored of snake jewelry in 2006 when she was given a snake ring while pregnant with her first daughter, Shiloh.
The collection was designed for the swanky British jeweler Asprey.
Any money made from the sales of this jewelry will be given to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict (EPCC), the charity Jolie co-founded in 2006. The organization educates children who are victims of war, conflicts and natural disasters.
The collection could bring in a bundle; prices start at $525 for a silver spoon with a snaked-shaped handle. The collection also contains pendants, bracelets, rings and an egg cup.
Asprey officials told Reuters that it took the dynamic duo more than a year to design the limited-edition collection. It goes on sale this week and will be sold at Asprey stores in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai.
