Cartier Awards shone at by four legged friends.

Cartier was worn tonight by a type of winner as out four legged friends were triumphed over by the sea, the stars and a poet.

The main award of the evening was taken by Sea Stars who crowned off a great a year with the top award of Horse of the Year honours. The three year colt topped off the year by being given the title of Champion Three-Year-Old Colt. After wins in some of the most glorious and renowned horse races of the year such as the 2000 Guineas, Derby, Eclipse, Juddmonte International, Irish Champion Stakes and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. The results etched the horse into the annuals of Turf history much to the delight of owner Christopher Tsui. Other top awards were taken by trainer Aidan O'Brien with one of his horses taking the Two-Year-Old Colt category with the unbeaten winner of the Racing Post Trophy, St Nicholas Abbey. O'Brien also collected the honours in the fillies category with Criquette Head-Maarek's Special Duty, after the horse won the Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket. Probably O'Brien's greatest award of the night went to Yeat's who received the award for champion stayer after his record 4th Gold Cup Win.
