The Kremlin has announced a recall of the new ultra violent video game, Modern Warfare 2. The game was pulled over a scene that takes place in Russia, where hundreds of civilians are executed.
The much talked about scene in Modern Warfare 2 is called "No Russian" and involves the player going undercover in a Russian terrorist organization and executing hostages at an airport.
The scene has long been a topic of some discussion, and the game makers themselves tried to avoid the controversy by allowing the player to avoid the scene altogether by asking a series of questions upon boot up.
According to IGN.com this wasn't enough for the Russian government and they will pull the games off their local shelves until a new version of the game, with the controversial scene removed, is released later this month.
There will also be a new version of the game released worldwide on PC later in November that will also have the scene removed.
