On Sunday morning, thousands of Torontonians gathered at Yonge-Dundas Square to celebrate Christmas with clowns, magicians, mascots and a free breakfast and coffee.
On early Sunday morning, before the big Santa Claus parade, Torontonians walked around Yonge-Dundas Square to celebrate the upcoming holiday season with a free coffee, courtesy of McDonald's, and a free breakfast from President's Choice.
Between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., executives and officials from President’s Choice, McDonald’s, the City of Toronto and others, dressed up as clowns to entertain the hundreds of children who were in excitement for Santa Claus and December 25. Alongside the clowns were magicians and mascots and cheerleaders from the Canadian Football League team Toronto Argonauts.
However, no matter what happened at the breakfast, one child just wanted one thing: Santa Claus.

Throughout the event on Sunday, City TV and the Toronto Star handed out prizes to lucky contestants to sit in a special bleachers section that was reserved specially for families from certain sponsors who helped bring the festivities to Toronto.
Children received face paint and balloon animals from employees helping out with the event and clowns. The parents received a newspaper discussing this year’s current “Winter Magic” from the City of Toronto and, of course, the Santa Claus Parade.
