Mike Tyson says I 'Was Defending My Wife and Child'

Mike Tyson is in the news again and yes it is for something that had to do with his temper. Tyson got into a fight with an overaggressive photographer at LAX on Wednesday.

Mike Tyson was simply defending his family according to a publicist who represents the former boxing champion. The publicist said that the photographer was being overaggressive and that led to the altercation between Tyson and the photographer. Tyson's spokeswoman ,Tammy Brook, said that the former champ was the victim and he acted in self-defense as a father who was protecting his child The photographer, Tony Echevarria, 50, has a different story about the event. Echevarria says that he was not being aggressive at all. He also said that he was being respectful and shooting Tyson from a distance. Echevarria says that his videotape should back up his story. According to LAX police Sgt. Jim Holcomb, Tyson hit the 50 year old photographer with one hand right in the face. The hit left Echevarria with a laceration on his forehead. According to the photographer he was hit at least four times by Tyson. He describes the punching as the worst thing in the world. Both of the men were booked on misdemeanor battery and were released without bail. Both men also made a citizen's arrest on each other.
