If you live in the United States and want to find a place to get the flu vaccine near you, you can now use a new feature on Google Maps. Flu Shot Finder shows you locations where you can get the seasonal as well as H1N1 flu vaccine.
Google Flu Shot Finder uses information from chain pharmacies and other vaccine providers.
For now, it covers 20 states in the U.S. but the official Google blog says the company is collecting information from all 50 states.
According to Read Write Web:
The application gives vaccine location hours, when available, and even lets users know when vaccine supplies have run out at a particular location. All in all, it's a useful tool for quickly and simply finding the nearest place to get a flu shot.
The new feature is already in use by the American Lung Association and will soon be available at the Flu.gov website.
