The software company Adobe is confirmed to be laying off 680 employees today, in their largest layoff since last December.
The economic crisis is still affecting technology companies hard, with another round of layoffs occurring at Adobe today.
According to TechCrunch, the company is undergoing restructuring that will cost between $65 and $71 million.
A representative for Adobe has reportedly told TechCrunch, "Adobe is restructuring its business to align costs with its fiscal 2010 operating plan and budget, the company’s three-year strategic priorities and the realities of the business environment, as well as to ensure its ability to continue investing in long-term growth opportunities.”
This is the second recent layoff for San Jose-based Adobe, who
let go 600 employees in December 2008.
