The principal of a Pine Plains, New York, high school was reportedly taken hostage by a gunman Tuesday morning. Police locked down the school and the gunman is now reportedly in custody.
Local police sealed off a perimeter around the school in an attempt to limit any casualties that might arise, as well as keeping onlookers away from the area.

reported that White Plains Town Supervisor Gregg Pulver said the gunman is believed to be a parent of a student at the school.
According to Fox News, he has been apprehended by police.
MyFoxNY.com reports that the gunman reportedly has a son in the military and is upset with the government.
Authorities
told MSNBC there were no injuries, and no additional information has been released.
The situation happened at Stissing Mountain High School, which is located about 90 miles from New York City.
