The world's most popular boxer Manny Pacquiao and WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto are expected to draw thousands of boxing fans from around the world to Las Vegas to watch their "Firepower" match at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Fans and supporters of both Pacquiao and Cotto will turn the dull domestic economy of Las Vegas into a vibrant and progressive economy for the week. Hotels, restaurants and casinos along the strip as well as known tourist spots will be filled with thousands of visitors who are expected to watch the fight.
Boxing fans who will watch the fight at the MGM Grand usually bring along their families and friends for a weekend stay in Las Vegas. Family members may not watch the fight for lack of seats, but often spend money on food and accommodations which will in turn keep the local economy alive.

Philboxing.com thinks Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman should give a symbolic key to Manny Pacquiao, the main attraction of the match, in recognition for his contribution to the local economy.
The match will be Manny Pacquiao's 11th fight in Las Vegas. Eight of these fights were staged at the MGM Grand Garden arena since 2001 when the Filipino boxing champion fought and won over the South African super bantamweight champion, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba.
The match will be staged at the MGM Grand Garden arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 14, and will feature popular Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao and WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico. At stake is Miguel Cotto's WBO championship belt.
The two fighters are now in Las Vegas for the final phase of their training and physical conditioning.
The fully sold out fight will be carried on worldwide television and is available on pay-per-view.
