Thousands of people were in the St. Lawrence Market area on Sunday to participate in their rummage sale that was part of their 205th anniversary.
On Saturday, Digital Journal reported St. Lawrence Market’s 205th anniversary celebration occur in excitable fashion as the market gave attendees performances, shows, historical backgrounds and freshly cut meat, cheeses, breads and every other delectable cuisine.
As St. Lawrence Market's 205th anniversary celebration came to an end on Sunday, thousands of Torontonians attended their giant yard sale that saw vendors sell used items from as far back as the late 19th century. Things sold, such as pearls, coats, scarves, posters, magazines and books, ranged from as little as $0.50 to as high as $500.
Many things sold could even be bartered for just like back when St. Lawrence Market first opened in 1803.
This latest event occurred directly across from St. Lawrence Market at the corner of Jarvis Street and Front Street and lasted from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m., which saw a variety of goods being sold to interested buyers such as one lady who tried on every single fur coat for an hour.

However, one vendor told
Digital Journal that majority of the sellers would not negotiate any price for their items. She then jestingly said, “even if it’s for overpriced stuff.”
