The third phase of ticket sales for the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics was delayed by one week because of a configuration problem on the ticket sales website.
On Nov. 7 the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC) for the 2010 Winter Olympics
decided that because of technical difficulties on the website of Tickets.com, the Official ticket service provider for Vancouver 2010, the third phase of tickets sales would be postponed for 1 week.
Tickets for Phase 3
will go on sale at 10am PST on November 14th, 2009. These tickets are only available to Canadian residents, regardless of citizenship, and can cost as little as $15.
More than 100,000 tickets are going to be sold, for the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics and for sport events in Vancouver venues.
Tickets for Olympic events in Whistler won't be on sale during Phase 3.
Special Olympic buses will ferry passengers from four locations in Metro Vancouver to Whistler, but there is no more available room for buses at Whistler and so VANOC isn't going to release any more tickets.
