Aaron Horrocks was born on October 14th, 2009 weighing 5 1b 3 ounces. At 33 weeks pregnant his mother had to have a Cesarean Section due to suffering from preeclampsia and gestational diabetes.
Aaron is a premature baby and with all premature babies they have a risk of certain conditions connected with being born early. Aaron Horrocks was diagnosed with Hypospadias which is a birth defect making the child urinate slighty to the side. He also has a problem with his tiny feet, one of which curves slightly inwards.
Aaron Horrocks also has a problem with his gums that are white and bony. It is the condition of the gums that is new to specialists.
Other babies have been born with gum problems before, but not with white gums.
Photographers came today, 6th November to take photo's of this little boy. According to health professionals Aaron Horrocks might be placed in a medical journal if experts discover a new condition.
So far experts say that they have never seen a condition that produces white, bony gums in children. This could be a new discovery in medical science and could go on to help other researchers and children that are born in the future with this condition. To be accepted in a medical journal is not easy, but if the case is special as experts suggest in this case then the medical journal accepts them.
So far any treatment for this condition is unknown, but it is hoped that the condition might improve by itself. Further research will be carried out and documented. There is no name for this condition it as it has never been seen before.
