As we are about 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, we can now share our thoughts on that historic event and post a wish for the future on the virtual Berlin Wall.
The Berlin Twitter Wall is a virtual space to commemorate the Fall of the Berlin Wall (Nov. 9, 1989), which symbolizes the fall of communism in Europe.
Website was launched on Oct. 20, as a part of German initiative commemorating the events of twenty years ago, 'Festival of Freedom'.
As the creators of the Berlin Twitter Wall state:
The peaceful revolution and the Fall of the Berlin Wall were also a result as well as catalysts for the profound changes that gripped Germany and Europe at the end of the 1980s.
The virtual wall was built not to divide countries and nations, like its real predecessor, but to encourage people to write their thoughts, not only about past, but also about walls, "which still have to come down to make our world a better place."
