Peter Schiff, Senatorial candidate for the Connecticut seat and author of "Crash Proof 2.0", was scheduled to hold a moneybomb for 24 hours on Thursday November 5 but the site crashed.
Peter Schiff, President of Euro Pacific Capital and author of "Crash Proof 2.0", is running for the Republican Senate nomination and has raised $1 million in one quarter. On Thursday, another moneybomb even, similar to August's, was supposed to be held, however, the SchiffForSenate website was consistently attacked, according to The Hartford Courant.
The 24 hour fundraising event was just about to begin but minutes before midnight cyber attacks flooded Schiff’s senate campaign website. Andrew Schiff, campaign spokesperson and brother to Peter Schiff, said, “These are coordinated attacks. They attacked us many times so we got more sophisticated. We just spent thousands of dollars on internet security.”
Currently, the campaign has no idea who is behind the attacks but they will continue to implement their political strategy of Internet advertising and moneybomb days. His rivals, however, are continuing to use the television as their main source for their messages such as former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment Linda McMahon and Tom Foley.
There has been no official confirmation of the next Peter Schiff moneybomb.
