Jill Stacey Stuchenko had been missing for four weeks. On Monday, police found human remains at a gravel pit in Prince George, B.C. They have identified Stuchenko, 35, as the victim.
PRINCE GEORGE – Family members had worried something bad had happened to Jill Stacey Stuchenko.
Their worst fears came true when the 35-year-old woman was found on a gravel pit in Prince George on Monday.
Her friends had distributed posters and complained to police that she had not been heard from for four weeks.
While the cause of death is still being determined, police have labelled her death as suspicious and are working on the case as a murder file.
On Friday, Oct. 26, Police had issued a public appeal over her whereabouts.
Police had said earlier they wanted to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area of a gravel pit just off Otway Road, particularly any vehicles that might have been seen.
Police thought the body had been at the pit for between seven to ten days but that time frame could be longer based on the complaint that she had not been heard for in four weeks.
