San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker took a hard fall as he tried to execute a lay-up in his team's encounter with the New Orleans Hornets Wednesday reports:
Parker landed with a thud on his right side after slicing between fellow All-Star Chris Paul and Hilton Armstrong for a layup late in the third quarter. He lay scrunched up and wincing for more than a minute before walking back to the bench on his own.
The incident set off heated words between Hornet's Chris Paul and Spurs newcomer Richard Jefferson. They were slapped with technical foul after being separated in mid court.
The San Antonio Spurs won the game 113-96.
Chris Paul lead all Hornets scorers with 26 points while Parker left the court after the hard fall with 17 points.
