Azza Boeing, the Sudanese cargo operator that crashed last week killing all six crew on board, has been stopped from using UAE airspace until further investigations are carried out.
On Wednesday, Azza's Boeing 707 flew normally until it was out of view before a large part of the plane fell off and crashed onto the grounds of Sharjah International Airport.
According to Arabian Business, the General Civil Aviation Authority has issued the ban on Sunday as a preventive measure to ensure all the aircraft of the company involved in the incident are in good condition.
Two representatives from Sudan's Civil Aviation have arrived in the UAE to assist in the investigation committee.
