Everybody loves Halloween. Kids in costumes and candy; haunted houses and hayrides; ghouls and goblins; outhouses overturned, eggs and other pranks.
Many people go to elaborate lengths to decorates their homes and front yards with spider webs, skeletons and, of course, pumpkins.
Beautiful condominiums overlooking the marina make Bora Bora Way one of the most affluent neighbourhoods in the exclusive California community of Marina del Rey. On the morning of Monday October 16 residents of 13914 Bora Bora Way awoke to a rather “sick Halloween joke.” On the balcony of a third floor unit a Halloween display included a bloody dummy slumped in a chair.
Only on Thursday when blood had dripped onto the balconies below were police called. When they entered the unit they quickly realized this was no Halloween dummy. The resident, 75 year-old, Mostafa Mahmoud Zayed, was dead, slumped in a chair on the balcony, shot in the head. The Halloween dummy was actually a human cadaver.
An autopsy confirmed that Zayed had committed suicide.
