Michelle Obama takes to the Internet to support her husband's proposed health care reform plans. She is appealing to women to support the President's plans.
Michelle Obama hits the Internet to appeal to women to support health care reform and support the President on his quest to make sure every American has health care.
According Michelle Obama’s statements her husband\s plan will make sure that all families will have the same insurance that she and her husband have enjoyed.
Some of the concerns she covers is that by law insurance companies can charge women more of insurance coverage. The other issue is pre-existing conditions that keep many people from even getting insurance.
She explains that a government exchange for insurance will make sure that there are some controls over pricing, as well as, mandate that even if a person has pre-existing condition they can have insurance at affordable rates.
There is a lot of misleading information being put out by the insurance companies and lobbyist to stop controls over health care insurance and to keep the government from providing an affordable alternative, critics say.
Lately, former Alaskan Governor Palin had to retract statements that where untrue about proposed health care reform.
Recently, Senator Reid had religious leaders gathered for teleconference explaining their support for health care reform. In unison they all agreed that everyone should have affordable access to health care and that it was morally wrong to exclude people for any reason including pre-existing conditions.
The health care debate is still getting strong resistance from the Republican Party in both the House and the Senate. Meanwhile with the Democrats in control of the House, the Senate and the Presidency are on the hot seat to get health care reform done. Many are saying if they fail to now that they are in control, it would be a major political blow to the party. Others point out that the only reason that Republicans are resisting is due to politics and not addressing the real issue that some 40 million people in the U.S. do not have insurance and those that do are faced with skyrocketing cost and the fact the women pay more for health care than men.
