Two separate bombings killed at least 23 people in Pakistan today. A third bombing wounded 15. The attacks follow a surge in bombings as the Pakistan Army has attacked militant bases in northwest Pakistan.
The first attack occurred at a checkpoint outside Kamra, in northwest Pakistan. Kamra is the location of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, the country's largest air force maintenance and research hub. It has also been linked to the country's nuclear program. The attack killed at 8 and wounded 15. The bomber walked up to the checkpoint and detonated himself as he approached.
ABC News reports that 15 people were wounded when a car bomb exploded in Peshawar in Pakistan. Other details are currently unknown.
The third bombing also occurred in northwest Pakistan. A landmine explosion killed 15 on a bus heading to a wedding elsewhere in the region according to ABC News. Other details and the number of wounded remain unclear.
