Santo Gambino would rather spend time in jail than serve house arrest sentence at home with his "nagging" wife. Gambino violated his house arrest sentence in an effort to be locked up again. The judge had something different in mind.
In March, Santo Gambino "was arrested for dumping construction waste" according to
UPI.
Reuters reports that Gambino, 30, was first sentenced to prison but then was transferred to house arrest. He lives on the island of Sicily with his wife.
In an attempt to get himself locked up again to avoid fighting with his wife, Gambino violated his house arrest. According to
Reuters, "Gambino went to the police station and asked to be put away again to avoid arguing with his wife, who accused him of failing to pay for the upkeep of their two children."
Gambino was taken to court where he asked the judge to send him to jail rather than back home. According to
UPI, Gambino wanted to escape his "wife's non-stop nagging."
The judge, however, seemed to think that Gambino's sentence was appropriate. For violating the condtions of his sentence, Gambino was sent back home on house arrest and the judge "ordered him to 'try to get along' with his wife" reports
UPI.
