Sudanese Passenger Failed in Egypt Air Hijack Attempt

A drunk passenger of Egypt Air flight from Istanbul to Egypt took a knife from the meals served to first class passengers and used it in his attempt to hijack the airplane that was carrying 87 passengers bound for Cairo.
A Sudanese passenger of Egypt Air was foiled by Air Marshalls in his attempt to hijack the airplane bound for Cairo Wednesday.
The passenger who was drunk used a knife from the meals being served to first class passengers and threatened the crew of the aircraft.
Inquirer net. reports:
Air Marshall's foiled an attempt by a Sudanese passenger to hijack an EgyptAir flight from Istanbul to Cairo on Wednesday and divert it to Jerusalem, an Egyptian security official said.
The 26-year old Sudanese said he wanted to 'liberate' Jerusalem, the report added.
The airplane was carrying 87 passengers on its way to Cairo from Istanbul when the hijacking took place . All passengers remained unharmed and were able to continue their flight to Istanbul.
