While the name Vic Mizzy may not have been widely known his theme songs were. The theme for The Addams Family and Green Acres are parts of many people's memory. Muzzy, composer of those tunes, died Saturday at the age of 93.
Mizzy was best known for his television theme songs. He also had hit records with "The whole World is Singing My Song" and "With a Hey and a Hi and a Ho-Ho-Ho."
Brooklyn born Mizzy didn't care if most people remembered him as the guy who came up with the finger snapping theme for The Addams Family. As he put it those snaps got him his mansion in Bel Air reports The New York Daily News.
Mizzy died from heart failure at that mansion Saturday. He was 93. He is survived by his daughter Lynn Mizzy Jonas, his brother Sol and two grandchildren.
