Paris Hilton is planning to buy a pot-bellied pig and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are upset by her decision.
Entertainment Daily says that well-known socialite Paris Hilton has plans to buy a pig. PETA has expressed its dismay over Hilton's decision.
TMZ says the pig is a $4,500 Royal Dandie miniature pig. Princess Pigelette, as the pig will be named, is to be hand delayered by the Oregon breeder within 4-5 weeks.
One of Hilton's representatives told TMZ, "Paris is thrilled! She is a major animal lover and is excited for the arrival of her new piglette."
PETA's blog expresses their disapproval of Hilton's decision to buy a pig by referring to the purchase as a fashion accessory that will certainly be tossed aside.
PETA added in the blog If they were able to have Hilton arrested for being so uncaring, they would.
The statement says: "Paris has burned through Chihuahuas, ferrets, and kinkajous in the past, so there's no reason to think that an animal who will undoubtedly root through her precious Manolos will grow old by her side as her BFF."
